Inspired by the laidback ambience that comes with luxurious living, Domum offers a truly unique lifestyle in one of the most highly sought-after postcodes of Brisbane. Estia Constructions carried this project from conception until completion, introducing a new chapter of luxury cosmopolitan living to Highgate Hill.
We acquired the site while it still housed a completely original and unliveable property. Our team then set out to restore the property to its traditional glory, giving the space a modern Hampton’s inspired flair.
After less than a year, Domum now presents four bedrooms, two living spaces and ample outdoor entertaining space. The main entrance is accessed via the front stairs, which opens up onto the second floor. The free-flowing floorplan connects the lounge, dining and island kitchen with a concealed butler’s pantry for effortless entertaining.

Stone benchtops are a luxurious touch against the historically inspired bespoke cabinetry and black feature island bench. A feature sandstone-clad gas fireplace creates a hub in the lounge for the cooler months, while the full-height windows inject natural light all year round. This open-plan space then spills out onto a travertine entertainment deck that overlooks the ground level inground pool.
The master bedroom is a grand statement. A designer walk-through robe connects the room to a luxurious ensuite, where floor-to-ceiling limestone tiles create a resort-like feel, and the free-standing black bathtub overlooks the tree-lined streetscape of Highgate Hill and beyond. It’s the ideal opportunity to instil relaxation and restoration into every day.
Retreat downstairs using the timber staircase to discover three further bedrooms and two bathrooms. All bedrooms offer built-in robes, with additional storage available in the ground floor lounge. While the space is separated from the home’s main hub on the second floor, the entire property is connected with a state- of-the-art intercom and security system. Lighting, cameras, air- conditioning and the garage are all controlled via mobile.

Highgate Hill is recognised for its prized heritage homes and unwavering sense of classic beauty. Estia Constructions drew from this rich sense of tradition to transform this property into a historical meet’s modern masterpiece.
The simple palette and natural materials throughout the property reflect the laidback accents of a luxurious lifestyle. Sandstone features in the living space and around the pool are an ode to the Hampton style, while the timber parquetry flooring and the lead light bay window are both subtle historical features. This neutral backdrop is also interjected with stone, darker accents and feature lights that all reflect the inner-city postcode.
Designed with the future in mind, Domum was fitted with solar panels to reduce electricity grid consumption. The garden is also both low-maintenance and high-impact, reflected in the selection of native greenery and minimal grass.
Following a 10-month project timeline, Domum is now a premium residential experience, located just steps from all the major amenities of Highgate Hill.
